The impact that your smile has is a lot bigger than you might know. It is usually the first thing that somebody will notice about you and will often be the main statement in a good first impression. It isn’t necessarily fair, as many people don’t have the straightest of smiles, but if that is what you want then we can help with Invisalign in Sydney. Here at Spa Dental Sydney, we believe that quality patient care goes a long way to making you feel comfortable. Using our knowledge and experience, we’ll inform you every step of the way on your journey with us, allowing you to relax.

In this short article, we’ll talk about Invisalign in Sydney in a little more depth, discussing the procedure as well as the range of benefits.

The package

Invisalign in Sydney is not a straightforward routine, as other treatments may be. We might actually consider this one more of an experience, with the end result being something of a revelation. When you start on your clear aligner journey, you will receive a consultation with our dentist, X-rays, a diagnosis and a straightforward treatment plan. You will also receive a simulation pack that will allow you to see an idea of what your teeth will look like after the treatment, all the aligners as well as the retainers and a 2-year follow up appointment. We want to make sure that you’re completely cared for, covered and happy with your results.

The treatment

This clear aligner process can take anything from 6-18 months to get your desired result, depending on the severity of the misalignment with your teeth. We will let you know upon inspection what our recommendations are, so you don’t have to worry about that. The treatment begins by taking moulds of your teeth and their current position, as well as X-rays and any other imaging that may help us to get a full picture of the shape of your teeth. Then, we will begin taking moulds and creating the aligners that will slowly and subtly move your teeth into a straight position. Similar to how traditional braces need to be adjusted, you will need to change the aligners at certain intervals to make sure that your teeth continue to move and adjust into the correct place. Sensitivity may arise during the initial changes of these devices, but please let us know if the discomfort becomes too much or concerning.

Suitability

Teeth can become misaligned in a variety of ways and you should always consult your dentist regarding your unique case. However, the clear aligner alternative has been known to aid underbites, overbites, crooked teeth, crowded teeth and even gaps in the teeth. If you are over the age of 18 and in good health, there is no reason why this option wouldn’t be available to you, but please check with us first!

Cleaning

The clear aligners are completely removable! That means you can clean both the aligners and your teeth for optimum dental hygiene. Do not use hot water on your aligners as this can potentially damage or warp them.
